Since our 13th anniversary is coming up in a week, we decided to get away.  Just for a night, someplace close but something different.

Meadow View Farm B&B in Hernando was perfect.  $95 for the night, the room was beautiful (we chose Cotton and Kudzu with a walk in shower).  Mark relaxed on the dock at sunset and we had a great little dinner at ChatterBox restaurant in Hernando (catfish and awesome home baked deserts).  Breakfast was awesome.  Everything was comfortable and we felt right at home.  Highly recommend it!

This is a farm, so there are animals.  I conquered my fear of goats finally by standing in the pen with the pygmy goats.  They did not eat me.  I admit to screaming the first time one licked me tho.

They practice natural horsemanship so there is a long lesson before you get to ride where you and the horse get to know and trust each other.  It was really helpful to Mark, who has never had that experience.  He actually rode a horse and enjoyed it!!

First we have the dog, Abbie:

And then there are the house and the pond and the field:

And the goats.......

And finally, the horses (Mark rode Rebel and I rode Dottie):
