This was once the front porch step - looking at it from the back as if I was in the house.

The inside of the chicken house - these were the boxes where the chickens laid the eggs. Behind you can see the roost area where the chickens would roost and their droppings would fall through to a concrete pad below that could be hosed off. I remember gathering eggs - I always slammed the henhouse door first to scare the chickens out of the boxes so I didn't get pecked. Sometimes there was a snake in one of the boxes trying to eat eggs. Pop-pop put golf balls in the boxes and often the snakes would eat those.
